Terms of use

The agreement between you and Circuit Club when you use wtccracing.org or the Autoground app, hold a Circuit Club license, enter a race weekend or buy something.

Last updated

1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and ("Circuit Club", "the club", "we", "us"). By using wtccracing.org or the Autoground app, creating an account, applying for a license, entering a race weekend or buying anything here, you agree to them, to our privacy policy and refund policy, and, as a driver or crew member, to the championship rules.

2. The club & the championship

Circuit Club organizes the Western Touring Car Championship (WTCC): its calendar, entries, driver licensing, technical inspection, officiating, results and standings. Some rounds run at host tracks or alongside partner festivals. The host's own rules, gate procedures and waivers also apply on their property, and the host's tickets are sold under their own terms.

The calendar, venues and dates can change. Dates shown as "TBD" aren't confirmed until we post them.

3. Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 to make an account. To drive in WTCC races, Time Attack or Drift you must be at least 18 on the first day of the race weekend. When we run Track Days, drivers aged 16 and 17 may enter them with a parent or guardian, who must agree to these terms for them and sign the waivers in person at the event.
  • Give us true, current information, especially your date of birth, racing background, car details and emergency contact. Entries or licenses based on false information can be cancelled without a refund.
  • One account per person. Your account works on the website and in the Autoground app. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
  • You can delete your account at any time from My Garage. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the championship rules.

4. Rules & homologation

  • For the 2027 season, every WTCC car is homologated under one of two rule sets, chosen per car: the 2027 GLTC Technical Rules & Regulations, or the 2027 WTCC Class Technical Rules & Regulations. Rules from the two can't be mixed on the same car.
  • Those rule documents, the sporting rules and officials' bulletins decide whether a car and driver may enter. If anything on this site disagrees with them, the rule documents win.
  • A car that isn't legal under its chosen path can't be entered. Changes to a car's eligibility figures or race configuration during a season need an organizer's approval before they count.
  • You're responsible for your car being safe and legal every time it goes on track, including safety equipment that's in date and fire suppression where the rules require it.

5. Circuit Club licenses

  • You need a competition license to race: a Circuit Club license, or an SCCA, NASA or Gridlife competition license we accept in its place. Applications are reviewed by the club's Motorsport Director, who can grant a Provisional license, grant a full Accepted license, or decline.
  • A Provisional license lets you race while the Director's review is open. Only the Motorsport Director makes a license Accepted. Officials can suspend or revoke any license for safety or conduct under the rules.
  • A license is personal to you and can't be transferred. The license card and its headshot are for identification at race weekends.

6. Race weekends & the waiver

  • Motor racing is dangerous. Entering a race weekend means signing the event release and waiver during registration, and possibly the host track's own waiver at the gate. The waiver is a separate agreement and controls if it conflicts with these terms.
  • Signing electronically: you agree to sign the waiver and other race weekend documents electronically. Your typed name and drawn signature are your signature and bind you as a handwritten one would. You can print the waiver before you sign it, and ask us for a copy of what you signed at any time by email. If you'd rather sign on paper, email us before the race weekend and sign at the event instead.
  • Photos and video: the club, host tracks and media photograph and film race weekends, and you may appear in what's published. If you'd like a photo of you taken down from our site or social channels, email us.
  • Every entry is subject to the rules, technical inspection and the decisions of race officials, who can refuse, move or remove any driver or car for safety or conduct.
  • Tech and the season tech pass: after a car passes tech and completes its first race weekend of the season with you, later entries with that car may be passed without coming to tech. Officials can still inspect any car at any time, and a car towed to the paddock must be re-teched before it goes back out.
  • Late entries must attend the novice drivers meeting at that race weekend.
  • Transponders: every car on track needs a registered transponder. Going out without one is penalized under the posted transponder penalties.
  • Classes, run groups, schedules and session times can change, including on the day.

7. Officials, protests & appeals

  • License decisions, class assignments, penalties and results are made by club officials under the rules.
  • A WTCC entrant can file a protest from their entry on the race weekend's page. The protest fee is $, paid at checkout when you file. The race weekend's stewards decide each protest as Upheld or Not upheld.
  • If a protest is upheld, the fee is refunded to the card you paid with. If it isn't, the fee is kept. Protest deadlines and appeals follow the rules.
  • Filing protests in bad faith, or to harass another competitor, is a conduct matter.

8. Payments

  • Prices are in US dollars, and the price shown includes every mandatory fee. Only sales tax, where the law requires it, and shipping, if you choose it, are added at checkout. Fees that apply only in some cases, such as the late registration fee or the entry transfer fee, are shown before you agree to them.
  • Entries, licenses, protest fees, tickets, passes and merch are paid through Shopify's checkout. Cost-split entries are registered through Stripe, which saves your card, and cost split charges are taken by Stripe. By paying, you also agree to their terms. We don't see or store your full card number.
  • WTCC Season Pass: a single, non-refundable pre-payment toward your cost-split shares at the rounds it covers, at the price shown when you buy it. It doesn't renew by itself. How it's used and what happens to the balance is in the refund policy.
  • An entry is confirmed when payment succeeds and the entry shows as paid in My Garage. Unpaid entries don't hold a spot or a car number.
  • Refunds, credits and cancellations follow the refund policy.
  • If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of contacting us, we may suspend your entries and account until it's settled.

9. WTCC cost split

Some WTCC race weekends don't have a fixed entry fee. The organizer posts an itemised budget, and the cost is shared equally by the drivers registered when the split locks.

  • When you register for one of these race weekends you save a card with Stripe instead of paying up front, and you authorize us to charge that card your share when the split locks, on the lock date shown on the event's Cost Split tab. If the budget and lock date aren't posted yet when you register, they're posted on that tab before anything is charged, and you can withdraw for free until the split locks.
  • Your share is the locked budget divided by the drivers in the split, and never more than the cap shown on the event, if one is set; the club covers anything above the cap. Referral discounts (for you and for the driver whose referral link you used) and early-bird discounts come off that driver's share, and the other drivers in the split cover the difference, so your share can rise slightly when others earn one. Registering after the posted cutoff adds the late fee shown before you register; before the split locks, that fee lowers everyone else's share by the same amount.
  • Tickets and add-ons you buy for a race weekend where you have a cost-split entry, before its split locks, go on your split too, and are charged to the same card with your share. If you hold a WTCC Season Pass, your share is paid from its balance first and your card is charged only what the balance doesn't cover.
  • Your saved card is used only for your cost-split charges and what you put on the split. Your current share, and your charge once it's taken, are on the Cost Split tab and in My Garage. To stop using the card, withdraw before the split locks, or email us to remove it once your share is paid.
  • The Cost Split tab shows the line items, the number of drivers and the current share before it locks. Figures such as "X drivers away from entry fees dropping below $Y" are estimates that depend on who else registers, not a promise of a final price.
  • If you withdraw before the split locks, your card isn't charged. After it locks, your share is due, because the budget has been committed for everyone. See the refund policy.
  • If the charge fails, we'll ask you to update your card. Your entry isn't confirmed until your share is paid.

10. Teams

A team's captain and registrars can manage the team's members, cars and team entries, and can register team cars for the team. Joining a team lets them see your name, your team cars and your team entries. Each driver is still personally responsible for their own license, waiver, conduct and payments.

11. Tickets

  • A ticket is a revocable license to attend a race weekend, subject to the club's and the host track's rules. It can be revoked without a refund if those rules are broken.
  • All ticket sales are final; see the refund policy. Spectators attend at their own risk, and the host track may ask them to sign its own release at the gate.
  • Admission, camping and parking tickets can be passed on by forwarding the QR code. Season passes and vendor spaces are personal and can't be transferred.
  • Each QR code checks in once. Keep it private: whoever shows it first gets in. You may be asked for photo ID at will-call.

12. What you post

You keep ownership of the photos, liveries, 3D setups, data logs, videos and other content you add. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display and process it to run the site, the Autoground app and the championship, and, for what shows on the Drivers page, to show it on the site and the club's social channels. You can go private on the Drivers page or ask us to remove content at any time; content already posted on social media may stay up.

When you tag the club or use our hashtags on Instagram, we may show the post in our gallery after reviewing it, credited to you and linked to your post. If you'd rather we didn't, or the photo is yours and someone else posted it, email us and we'll take it down.

Only post content you have the right to share, and don't post other people's personal information without their permission. If a part link is an affiliate link, or a brand gives you parts, money or other benefits, say so in the part's description.

13. Acceptable use

Don't use the site or the app to break the law, harass anyone, impersonate someone, enter false results, tech or homologation data, scrape other drivers' information, test or bypass our security, or overload the service. Official tools (gate, tech, stewarding, results and license review) are for the officials assigned to them.

14. Our names & content

The Western Touring Car Championship and WTCC names and logos, the Circuit Club name, the site's design and text, and the 2027 WTCC Class Technical Rules belong to the club. Don't use them to suggest you're endorsed by or part of the championship without our written permission. Partner and sponsor logos belong to their owners. Some 3D car and part models, photos and fonts belong to other creators and are used under their licenses, with credits and source links next to them. The 2027 GLTC Technical Rules belong to their publisher.

Copyright complaints. If you believe something on the site or the app infringes your copyright, email with: what the work is, where it appears on the site (a link), your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized, a statement that your notice is accurate and that you're the owner or authorized to act for them, and your physical or electronic signature. We'll take down material that infringes and may close the accounts of repeat infringers. If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, email us with the same details and we'll review it.

15. Demo mode & tools

Demo mode shows sample data and never charges a card or saves to a real account. The Modification Garage's homologation checks, performance figures, class and part suggestions and 3D previews are guides only. The class you race in and whether your car is legal are decided by tech inspection and the rule documents.

16. Disclaimers & liability

The website and the app are provided "as is". We work hard to keep schedules, results, standings and prices right, but can't promise the service will always be available or error-free.

To the fullest extent the law allows, the club isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses from your use of the website or app, and our total liability for any claim about them or a purchase is limited to the amount you paid us for the item in question. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law. Liability for taking part in a race weekend is covered by the waiver you sign for it.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of . Any dispute will be handled by the courts of , , unless the law gives you the right to bring it somewhere else. Please contact us first; most things can be sorted out with an email.

18. Changes

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top. Changes don't affect entries or purchases you've already made. Continuing to use the site or app after a change means you accept the new terms.
